Services
PRIDE provides a variety of services to individuals as well as Professional, Service, School or Community organizations. Some of these services include:
- Speech Therapy
- Occupational Therapy
- Early Intervention Services for children birth to 3 years of age
- Equipment Loan Program - free loan of available hospital and rehabilitive equipment Requires a doctor's prescription, available transportation and individuals to load and unload equipment
- Specific Assistance Program
- Certified Therapeutic Horseback Riding Program
- Information and Referral Services
- Advocacy for the Disabled
- Social-Recreational Program (Ages 21 & over)
- Assistive Technology Lending Library (PIAT)
- Summer Recreation Program
- Educational Presentations - emphasize information, instruction and awareness toward an improved quality of life for people with disabilities.
- Hal's Pals - a series of dolls each representing a different type of disability. This entertaining presentation is specifically devised for elementary school age children, and is designed to help them understand how to accept and react to children and adults with disabilities.
PRIDE also participates in numerous health related community activities such as Health Fairs and Corporate/Industrial Education Forums.
The PRIDE office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Persons in need of service or information about any of PRIDE's services can call the office directly at 814-643-5724. Referrals for service may also be made through a Human Service Agency, a physician, a rehabilitation center hospital or self-referral.
