PRIDE runs many events throughout the year for both the benefit of our clients and fundraising purposes.

PRIDE Telethon
The annual PRIDE Telethon is a highly anticipated community event. The event combines a three day auction with a talent day in which many local organizations and individuals are featured. In addition, there are many special activities sponsored by businesses, individuals, organizations and schools in the days leading up to event. In the past, this event has raised approximately one-third of the annual operating budget for Huntingdon County PRIDE. This year, the telethon brought in $176,694.15.
Auction
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of the telethon feature hundreds of items up for auction. Items sold during the 2008 auction brought in $45,403.
PRIDE Rocks
ARTISTS WANTED!!! Following up on last year's initial PRIDE Rocks event, this year's chairs were auctioned during the telethon. The winner of the PRIDE Rocks competition (for the chair auctioned at the highest value) was 'Steelers Rock.' PRIDE Idol
PRIDE is hosting the first of it's new talent contests, PRIDE Idol. Contestants auditioned before a three-judge panel at one of five locations, vying for the 10 spots to perform at prime time (7pm-8pm) during the talent night of the Telethon.

Clutch-a-Buck
Tickets are sold for an opportunity to grab at $1,000 in the Clutch-a-Buck air booth! The person selling the most of these $1 tickets gets the first shot to see how much they can corral!
Pride Wall
It's been 6 years since the PRIDE Wall competition has gone on, and this year, it was expanded to Elementary Schools! Click here are the pictures of the walls created and please e-mail apfingstl@huntingdonpride.org with your vote for your favorite. One vote per e-mail, please. Rockhill Elementary School sold the most PRIDE Wall cards, at $1.00 each, and raised $431 for PRIDE! We thank everyone who participated. Please vote for your favorite "PRIDE Wall" and the winner will be announced on Telethon, and presented the Traveling Trophy! The PRIDE Wall competition raised $2,064 for PRIDE!
5th Annual PRIDE Wing-Off (Wing Eating Contest)
The 5th Annual PRIDE Wing-off kicked off Telethon 2008 on Sunday, March 9th from 1-4pm at the Smithfield Firehall. There were 640 pounds bought, with 7,853 wings consumed! That's a lot of chicken. The wing eating contest was small this year, but nonetheless exciting! Ben Flowers beat out Nick Yaruta to be our FIRST WING EATING CHAMP! The event raised $3,193! Judged winners will be announced, along with the "people's choice" winner, at the Telethon around 1:15 on Saturday!

Karaoke Party
The Petersburg Legion hosted a karaoke party on March 15th from 10pm to 1am, with all proceeds going to PRIDE.
PRIDE Olympix
PRIDE Olympix (also known as Couch Potato Crusade) provides an enjoyable time of fun where five member teams compete in games such as "Wastepaper Basketball", "Hole in One", "Rubberband Archery"," and "Back the Cue Ball". Each team is sponsored by employers, family and friends and earns the chance to capture the traveling trophy!
