PRIDE Telethon
The annual PRIDE Telethon is a highly anticipated community event televised on the local Comcast Channel 17 and live from the Smithfield Firehall. This year's event spans from March 21st through the 24th. The event combines a three day auction with a talent day in which many local organizations and individuals are featured. In addition, there are many special activities sponsored by businesses, individuals, organizations and schools in the days leading up to event. In the past, this event has raised approximately one-third of the annual operating budget for Huntingdon County PRIDE.
Saturday Talent Show
Saturday caps off the auction with a talent portion where local organizations and individuals show off their skills. In addition to the broadcast on the local Comcast Channel 17, this year's event will also be streamed live over the Internet.
Auction
Each year, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of the telethon features hundreds of items up for auction.
Special Events
Each year organizations from across the county organize and hold special events as fund raisers for the PRIDE Telethon. If your organization would like to help, contact the PRIDE office (643-5724 or apfingstl@huntingdonpride.org) for ideas, information, or to register your event.
9th Annual PRIDE Wing-Off
On March 4th, PRIDE kicks off the Telethon activities with it's annual Wing-off at the Smithfield Firehall. Last year's event saw 777 pounds bought and 6,216 wings consumed! That's a lot of chicken. The event raised $4,144!

PRIDE Cookbooks
A local favorite, PRIDE cookbooks are now for sale at the PRIDE office and other locations thoughout the county. For $20 you receive over 500 recipes provided by members of the local community.
PRIDE Olympix
Each year, the PRIDE Olympix brings teams from local organizations together to compete in quirky games that require some 'unusual' skills. The 2011 Olympix were held on October 18th and were one of our most successful. With 15 teams competing we were able to raise over $12,000, a 50% increase over last year's total. We appreciate all of the hard work put in by the 75 participants, numerious judges and volunteers, as well as our sponsor Mutual Benefit Group. The funds raised by this event are critical in helping us to continue the great programs that help our friends, relatives, and neighbors get the care they need.
Check out photos from this year's pirate-themed event on our Facebook page. Bonney Forge was not only the competition winner, but was also the team raising the most funds (bringing in $2152). Thanks again to all of the participants.
