PRIDE Corn Feast - August 4th

Huntingdon Co. PRIDE is holding their first "Corn Feast" on Wednesday, August 4th from 4:30 - 8:30 at Detwiler Field on Standing Stone Ave, in Huntingdon. Tickets are $1, buy as many tickets as you want, and then trade in your tickets to purchase an ear or two of corn, hot dogs, fresh cut French fries, watermelon, fresh squeezed lemonade, and more. It's a down-home, summertime event and all proceeds help PRIDE continue their mission to Huntingdon County residents with special needs. (More info and attendee list on our Facebook page!)

PRIDE Telethon

The annual PRIDE Telethon is a highly anticipated community event. The event combines a three day auction with a talent day in which many local organizations and individuals are featured. In addition, there are many special activities sponsored by businesses, individuals, organizations and schools in the days leading up to event. In the past, this event has raised approximately one-third of the annual operating budget for Huntingdon County PRIDE. The 2010 telethon brought in $163,717.57 (up from 2009's total of $161,487.75).

Saturday Talent Show

Saturday caps off the auction with a talent portion where local organizations and individuals show off their skills.

Auction

Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of the telethon featured hundreds of items up for auction. Items sold during the 2010 auction brought in $45,450 (topping last year's total of $45,223).

Pride Wall

The PRIDE Wall competition is now entering it's eighth year, with participating elementary and high schools from all over Huntingdon County.

Wing Off7th Annual PRIDE Wing-Off (Wing Eating Contest)

The 7th Annual PRIDE Wing-off will took place on Sunday, March 7th from 1-4pm at the Smithfield Firehall. At this year's event, there were 777 pounds bought and 6,216 wings consumed! That's a lot of chicken. The event raised $4,144!

PRIDE Olympix

PRIDE Olympix (also known as Couch Potato Crusade) provides an enjoyable time of fun where five member teams compete in games such as "Wastepaper Basketball", "Hole in One", "Rubberband Archery"," and "Back the Cue Ball". Each team is sponsored by employers, family and friends and earns the chance to capture the traveling trophy!

PRIDE Cookbooks

A local favorite, PRIDE cookbooks are now for sale at the PRIDE office and other locations thoughout the county. For $20 you receive over 500 recipes provided by members of the local community.
